Gospel Training International: About GTI

Steve graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma '86 and '87. Cindy attended Rhema Bible Training Center '87. Cindy is a graduate of Kettering College of Medical Arts, Nursing program '81 They both completed Victory World Missions Training Center at Victory Christian Center in Tulsa '87.

Steve and Cindy have been ministering the Gospel of Jesus in southern and central Africa since 1988. During their missionary work they have ministered in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia, Malawi, and South Africa. Their African ministry began with Steve serving as the Dean of Swaziland Bible Training Centre and Cindy assisting in administration and teaching. For the next ten years Steve served as the Crusade Director for Evangelist Ed Elliott and Word of Life World Outreach, while Cindy functioned as special liaison to the Elliott’s. After the Elliott’s return to the United States, Steve continued to travel and teach as well as being a part time lecturer at Rhema Bible Training Centre (RSA) for three years while Cindy became involved with the worship team and choir at Rhema. All of this diverse experience of Bible School training and administration, open air gospel crusades, ministers conferences and ministry in church and conference settings has prepared them for their most recent ministry assignment.

Having relocated their home and ministry to Zambia all of their life experience and ministry has been focused on what they see as their next assignment. In following the biblical principle of multiplication they are pursuing a conviction of empowering people by training them for life and the work of ministry, through doctrine that is solidly based in gospel truths combined with practical ministry experience. To realize this passion they have established Gospel Training Institute an inter-denominational training institute in Lusaka. The geographic location of this central sub-Saharan African city makes this an ideal place to affect Zambia as well as the surrounding nations in Africa.

The same week the Shoop’s opened GTI Cindy was asked to be the Worship Director at Miracle Life Family Church. By invitation, Cindy continues vocal and worship team training today.
